Hello. Do you know what this plant is? Well it's a capsicum, and it takes f o r e v e r to grow.

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG.
Well as you can guess I'm doing something on a capsicum. And that's because my plant is a capsicum. Here is four things I learn't (p.s. my plant has only just sprouted) :(
One Thing I learn't about plants was photosynthesis . Photosynthesis has nothing to do with photos, it is how a plants leaves create food for itself by using sunlight, soil and water.

The second thing I learn't was that, when an animal eats a plant it later on will poop out the seeds giving them a good ferterliser and helps it grow faster.

the third thing I learn't was that plants use animals to pollinate. What happens is the plant sets a reward which a bee (for example)  will seek the reward and will be brushed with pollen. Then it flies off and gives another plant polled.

The forth thing i learnt was that some fungi have a funny looking way of reproducing.

My next goal is to help people with there work, I would like to but sometimes I cant be stuffed.
My Cultural goal is to learn more maori words. That's not happening/can't be bothered.
My Cathloic charector goal was to go t church more often (outside of school time.) Again I can't be bothered.
As you can see I'm quite lazy.

Evens won the book quiz and I was on the team! It was also cool when we got to meet fifi coulston. I never knew how much effort went into illustrating a book. And for my book charector I definatley had the best costume. It was (drum roll please) Grumpy cat from this book --->  

I don't see how I didn't win an award. And I did not do the book swap.

Book week

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Today I will be talking about books that I like. My favorite book at the moment is probably still the martian. Which has been from the start of the year. The reason I like it so much is because it has an amazing story line and is just an amazing book! Now this probably wasn't my favorite book when I was younger. I probably even hated it. BUT! I'm going to tell you any way. The book is... Burglar bill! The reason I didn't like the book was because of the cover (it gave me the willies). But it's a pretty good book. Eventually I manned up and read the whole book and then realised how much of a sissie I was. But the best book I've read this year is the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. It's about this boy with autism but he is supa dupa smart. And in the night his neighbours dog gets killed so he decides to play detective and find out what happend. It's a really good book but don't read if your under 12 as it has a lot of bad words in it!

For the past few months our whole school has been working on our production (but I was overseas for one of those months). I was backstage I enjoyed it back there. But I do regret not going for a speaking role. The thing I enjoyed about my role was having to quickly move stuff around before the lights turned on. The funniest props moment was when Jesse and I were trying to move a wall back, we were holding it in the wrong place an it tipped but we managed to get the wall off just in time. This week I was told to talk about my amazing time management skillz. I find time management easy all you have to be good at for time management is do all your work before games, try not to get distracted and focus on (or try to) one or two tasks. Don't just start one go onto another and another one e.t.c., because if you do this you will struggle to keep track of where you are at.

Well thats it for this post sorry about it's very short length but... the teachers must be running out of ideas. Like it's hard to write a TON on time management right?

No Money (because I'm broke) LOL!

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!!!! This year we are having our production. Over the past few weeks we have learn't two dances; No Money by GALANTIS and Robin Hood (I don't know who it's by though ?)  SO far it's been really fun, I don't actually like dancing but I always really enjoy the production dancing. No Money is a really fast dance so if you aren't in time it is very hard to get back in time. Robin Hood is a bit easier but one part of the chorus is hard to stay in time with. To make sure this dance is a success everyone will have to be in time, but we have a lot of time till that happens so once the production comes everything should be perfect.

These glasses (apparently) give athletes a edge in the Rio Olympics 2016

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Most of... no... all of you should know that the Olympics have started. And APPARENTLY some guys have released this new tech and it looks like this------>I have no idea what it does but it looks pretty damn SICK! Since I have nooooooooooooo idea what it does so I'm going to do nnnnnnnow! So, these  glasses have these spiky things on the part that rests on your ears and it sends out signals to your brain that up your MUSCLE stimulation. They have also proved that they do work the US ski team used them and became something like 31% better on he jumps. And another plus is they sell at a cheap, cheap price of only $549 retail price. And I think that's USD! So as Kiwi's we will be broke after buying on of these.

On Saturday the RIO 2016 Olympics started. Since I had nothing to do on Sunday I watched some of the weightlifting and beach volley ball and some hockey. The weightlifting is pretty call because tiny people (under 48kg) lift arounf 100000000000kg (90kg is what I meant) but its pretty impressive. I also watched some beach volley ball I have no idea how to play the game but it was fun to watch. I also watched some of the hockey (America Argentina) which was cool but it was alot more technical than my normal Saturday hockey game.

THE SPANISH DONKEY! Or Medieval week, with a bunch of brutal tortures and other stuff you don't want to hear about but I'm going to tell you anyway :)

HI AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG WHICH WILL BE FILLED WITH GRUESOME MEDIEVAL STUFF THIS WEEK, SO IF YOU GET SQUEAMISH AROUND BRUTAL TORTURES LEAVE RIGHT AFTER LEAVING A COMMENT AND SPAMMING F5 A FEW TIMES, BACK TO THE POST. This week (as the extremely long title says) is medieval week and it was interesting, boring (sometimes) and disgustingly AWESOME! Learning about the medieval times was interesting, the lessons I had informed me very well on the medieval times i found it fun and boring fun learning about stuff, boring writing endless amounts of notes! I also enjoyed making my poster on Medieval torture, WITH THE ONE, THE ONLY... jl (teenage girls screaming in the background) as I said Jl and and I made a poster on medieval torture. There were many, many, many, many, many, many gruesome tortures that totally grossed me out, but I still had fun learning about all those tortures. Sadly this is all I got time for so for now. BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBye! and remember don't smoke cuz it's a joke. and it can cause your nipples to fall off.

at  SCHOOL WE HAVE BEEN DOING Kapa Haka. Personally I do not like kapa haka that much but we have to do  it. I find it really difficult to do the actions while sing the lyrics. I could improve my performance by getting better at singing while doing the actions.

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG OF WISDOM! At school w have been building a medieval MINECWAFT (it's a game that you plaaayy) village[Some of you will remember that old saying]. I'm in charge of the town center, that pretty much means I build roads that connect to places and help out in other places. Most (big) things aren't actually finished *cough cough*Castle*, it's just the small things that are finished. Once the villages are fully built there will be a war, luckily I built heaps of secret under ground paths that lead to different castles. I dont if it is 100% historically accurate (yet) because the cottages don't look to "wattle and daub(y)?" I am/will keep working on/helping with the MAXIMUM SECURITY part of the prison, I will also help out where I can.

At school about three weeks ago we started electives, I chose sports and i got in it (yeah!), I have already made two little kids cry by 360 No-Scoping them in the face (sorry little kids). I have had fun doing sports, my favorite thing so far is called something like four corner sport. It is when you have four teams and 3 sports, our team won which made it super fun, yeah that's been ma fav so far.
To get the most out of this elective I have to participate and listen to the instructors.

I have been learning a few different sports one was volley ball and one was four corner sport.

It is what I expected.

So yeah. But oh well, it was funnish it took a long time and it wasn't worth it. Our decisions made by our team were pretty good our castle stands (at least).  Our problems were that... We had to build a castle and we are only twleve.

X(cross) Country

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO THE BLOG WHERE YOU WILL GAIN LOAD AND LOADS OF WISDOM... So much that your brain will EXPLODE!!!!

We had cross country on tuesday and I came fourth which has landed me in the northen zones (im proud of my-self). I had fun and was getting great amounts of support from all my friends (which JL doesn't have) [hahahaha just kidding] {JL does have friends}

During the cross country I had to persevere, there were some points where I just wanted to give up. BUT NO! I KEPT ON RUNNING (even though I felt like vomiting from exhaustion) because I wanted to get in the top five.

Empathy was also displayed through people cheering on each other.

This was my last school cross country and it was great to end it on a high.

Hunt for the Wilder People

    

So Ricky... Here's your new home.

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog. This week I have to write about a movie I saw in the holidays. And I saw Hunt for the  Wilder People! It is a amazing movie that I think everybody should watch... Here's the trailer ! 

Hunt for the Wilder People is about boy called Ricky Baker (Julian Dennison) who is a troubled boy who burns stuff, brakes stuff, steals stuff, defaces stuff, brakes stuff and burns stuff. Ricky gets moved from a foster home to a home with his 'Aunt Bella' and 'Uncle Hector' (Sam Neil). When a 'tragic thing' happens Ricky decides to run away, Hector then finds him but brakes his foot trying to catch Ricky. They then settle down (in the forest) for a few days. But those few days turn into months, next thing you now a 'man hunt' happens. 

Yeah and that's a brief description of the movie.

I like it because its a extremely funny movie with action and it will be hard to find a movie like it.

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO BLOG! School has almost ended (yeah!) So that means I have to write about three things I've learn't. Hmm three things, I should have a few more than just three. Ohh, I know. I learn't how to separate salt from sand. Boom, dis guy know science. It was actually a pretty damn simple process. What you had to do was poor (?) water into the sandy salt mixture. Then you use a coffee strainer to separate the salty water from the sand, you boil the salty water. Out comes salt (that smells like mashed potatoes!)

Just one way to explain Hillary Outdoors!

NUMBER 2. I learn't that Hillary Outdoors is one of the best places on this Earth!

the car trip

When we are there we do a lot of  mountain biking and by a lot I man A LOT!  

Are we there yet? HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! In these Easter holidays I went to Rotorua, every year our family, my Mums family and my Dads family go up to Rotorua for four days. It's a long drive but it's worth it.

Tokorangi - a Red Woods forest MTB Track

When we got to our campground cabin place thingy-ma-gig, we unpacked the car (we were the first there) [as always.] Then about 20 minutes later (part of) my Mum's family arrived. They unpacked their car (while Jacob and I played with our cousins,) there is; Anya - the oldest, Kahu - the middle child and Matilda - the youngest. It was then time for dinner! For dinner we had meatballs! They were yummy! I then watched a movie on the T.V. I think it was... uh... Oh well, I can't remember. The next day I woke in the morning and got ready for a bike ride, my Dad's side of the family turned up last night, they also bought a friend with them (Will.) My cousins names are; Liam - the oldest, Declan (Deccy) - the youngest and Will - their friend (who is older than Declan.) We then set off for our bike ride, we would be riding in the Red Woods forest. We did some tracks which I don't want to name cause it would take for years and years to come! So thats it for this week!

HILLARY OUTDOORS EDUCATION CENTRE (camp)

HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Last week the year8s got to go to camp (while the year7s were stuck at school.) We got to really cool stuff like high-ropes, caving, canoeing and so much more! There was some things that were challenging and some things that were easy peasy.

The thing that I found challenging was caving: this was because I have a fear of bugs ----------------------------------------------------->

and I also get claustrophobic easy, (story of my life.) But since doing caving my claustrophobia fear has disappeared! 

Things I found easy were, high ropes (I won a bet) and canoeing, the reason I found high ropes easy was because I love heights and... Yeah. The reason I found canoeing easy because it wasn't to hard and I was staring the boat (harder than you think.) 

I expected camp to amazing this was because all the year8s from last year said "OMG OMG OMG!!!! CAMP IS AMAZING!!!" So my expectations were higher than the clouds and when my expectations are high that means things usually turn out to be really bad, but... CAMP PASSED THOSE EXPECTATIONS! ("I wasn't expecting that!")

My favorite moment was when I jumped off the BRIDGE! This was because I got the most     A-MA-ZING adrenaline rush ever!  

My proudest moment was when I did caving because (I saw spiders and wetas but don't worry I didn't die I just screamed myself to death:) ) But the reason I was proud is because I conquered my claustrophobia fear!

AND I'M SUPER (man) EXCITED, we get to do really cool things, like - high ropes, caving, over nighter (on the beach) kayaking and so much more. I also have really boss groups. I am with JL, Liam, Henry, harry, Jesse and myself (that's just the car groups) The cabin groups are the same apart there are two extra members Ystefano and Lawrence, and the activity groups are also very similar I'm with every one that's in the cabin group apart from, Ystefano, Lawrence, Henry and Jesse (they are in different activity groups) and yeah thats that!

Sounds exciting doesn't it!!
